Former Kaizer Chiefs striker: Billiat hasn’t done much to warrant the huge salary
A former Kaizer Chiefs striker has added his opinion to the Khama Billiat situation, and also spoken about other players with expiring deals.

Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat is earning a reported R800,000 per month at Amakhosi.
Billiat joined Chiefs on a free transfer in 2018 after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns following a trophy-laden spell. He has looked like a shadow of his former self at Naturena. As things stand, Billiat’s contract expires in June 2023. The same goes for Sifiso Hlanti, Njabulo Blom, Itumeleng Khune and Eric Mathoho.

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker thinks Billiat will leave
“This time of the year, if they were going to keep them on, they would’ve renewed already. I highly doubt that they’re going renew their contracts, if it’s gone this far without happening,” Shaun Permall told ThisIsFootball.Africa.
“The kid Njabulo Blom is not a bad player, a decent player, and Khama Billiat for me the price tag does not do him justice. The amount of money that he is earning, he hasn’t done much to warrant the huge salary that he is earning. We don’t know the exact amount but from past reports, it has been said that he is earning quite a bit. Like I said he hasn’t done much, and the other two (Hlanti and Mathoho), I think it’s the end of the road for them.”
The reality is that Billiat has provided four assists this season in nine appearances, and remains a regular under first team player. This is quite the dilemma for head coach Zwane.

32-year-old Billiat is expected to feature for the Glamour Boys when the PSL resumes. Chiefs are next in action away to Golden Arrows on December 31st with kickoff at 15:30. Will it be one of Billiat’s last matches in a Chiefs jersey though?
