Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns aren’t in action this weekend while another title-hopeful – Wits – don’t play until Tuesday. But Orlando Pirates and the relegation threatened teams all have a lot to go at in this weekend’s PSL fixtures.

On Saturday, Golden Arrows seek to rediscover their winning touch as they host the in-form SuperSport United at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium. Kick off is at 15:30.

In the later fixture on Saturday,  Orlando Pirates can claim a fifth win in a row as they visit Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday. Josef Zinnbauer’s men ground out a 1-0 win over AmaZulu in their last game and now face a team smarting from a 3-0 defeat to SuperSport United. Kick off is at 18:00.

Wrapping up the trio of matches on Saturday, Highlands Park their clash with Baroka in Tembisa on a low, but this season of ups and downs has shown them that anything is possible in the PSL.

Coach Owen da Gama led the Lions of the North to the MTN8 final, but has recently found himself facing rumours that his days at the club were numbered. Nevertheless, he lives to fight another day. The match kicks off at 20:15.

Sunday brings two fixtures, both kicking off at 15:30 and there’s plenty at stake for all the teams involved.

With coach Cavin Johnson suspended, Black Leopards face another tricky test at Thohoyandou Stadium as they host a Stellenbosch side chasing a fourth straight win.

And finally, Kings Park Stadium will host a critical fixture as AmaZulu face Polokwane City in a bottom-of-the-table six-pointer.
