Kaizer Chiefs are expected to announce the appointment of coach Nasreddine Nabi imminently, according to the latest reports.

Chiefs will be hoping to have Nabi in the building by the end of the month. He is expected to hit the ground running.

Nabi is expected to arrive with his own technical staff, an agreement granted by the Chiefs management. Last season, it was widely publicised that the two parties could not agree to that aspect of the deal. It then ultimately led to talks collapsing, even though the salary was allegedly already agreed. They have since learnt from the past and the Tunisian is set to bring six members with him to Naturena.

Nabi effect already working!

This publication reported earlier today that the coach is set to arrive to his assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz. The Frenchman is expected to arrive at Chiefs and lay the groundwork for Nabi. This while he finishes the season at AS FAR, who are still to play at least a semifinal of the Throne Cup on the 23rd semifinal.

It now seems as if Nabi doesn’t just have a coaching, but also a player request. According to Unplayable, he has asked Chiefs to sign Botswana international forward Tumisang Orebonye.

“𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗧𝗦𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗔 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥

New Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi will recommend the signing of Botswana international striker, Tumisang Orebonye, who’s also at ASFAR.”

Makes Orobonye request to Chiefs?

Earlier this year, this publication reported that Chiefs were given the opportunity to sign Orebonye in January. But interim coach Cavin Johnson insisted he wants no new signings, but rather to give the current crop a chance. That turned out to be a move that backfired for both him and the club as they ended up finishing 10th. That being their worst finish ever, and one that sees them miss out on the MTN8 for next season.

Chiefs are already expected to part ways with Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez after his unsuccessful loan. Will Orobenye be his replacement courtesy of Nabi?
