Kaizer Chiefs to extend Sithebe’s deal?

Siyethemba Sithebe hasn’t exactly been a first-team regular this season. He started the campaign strongly but faded away towards the middle. To be fair to him, he has forced his way back into the setup towards the final stretch of 2022-23.

Sithebe’s current deal expires in June 2024 but Amakhosi management are keen to tie him down to new terms. It’s expected that he will extend his stay by a further two years.

Sithebe to extend with Chiefs

“Its true. He struggled with game-time at the start of the season and management was thinking of loaning him out in January but since Njabulo Blom left and Cole Alexander out injured, the technical team has entrusted that central midfield position to him and it seems he has impressed the team so much so that they want to keep him for another two years,” a source indicated to Soccer Laduma.

“They don’t want to wait until its late and that’s why they have set the ball rolling in terms of negotiations for the extension of his contract.”

Sithebe’s experience could be for the Glamour Boys after they lost Njabulo Blom to MSL side St. Louis City SC. 30-year-old Sithebe has been capped eight times by Bafana Bafana.
