Mamelodi Sundowns is a dream for thousands of professionals. The opportunity is often available but the timing is key.

The goalkeeper coach Louw joined Chippa United’s technical team under Rulani Mokwena in 2020. Mokwena later returned to Sundowns but advised Louw to remain in Gqeberha to earn added experience.

“Obviously, everyone wants to go there, it is a great place to be,” Louw told iDiski Times.

“But the head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns [Rulani] said to me ‘You can come but for the sake of your experience and for the sake of when the time that you are going to train first team goalkeepers at Sundowns comes, then you at least got three to four years experience in the PSL.

“So take the PSL offer, coach [Sinethemba] Badela and I will see what we do in the meantime but take the offer, be the head of goalkeeping at Chippa United and see what you can do,” Louw concluded.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos recently shared his views on Mokoena’s possible move out of Mzansi.

“Maybe in Sundowns, they will not be happy now, but I hope Mokwena can make the steps because he’s ready for it,” said Broos about the Kabo Yellow star, as quoted by the Citizen.

“Sometimes I say, what’s this one going to do in Europe? But Teboho is ready to do it. And maybe some other players also.

Addtionally, Mokoena’s Sundowns teammate Lucas Ribeiro believes the former SuperSport United star deserves to go abroad.

“Actually, Tebza is one of the players, it’s surprises me with all the attributes and the qualities he has, strong physical presence and the ability to score outside the box, shoots and also runs a lot. So, he’s got all the qualities that you can get from a midfielder. It still surprises me that he’s my teammate in South Africa because players of that quality, you probably see them in top clubs in Europe,” Ribeiro said via SABC Sport.

“I asking about him being focused in Sundowns or maybe being actually disturbed by other offers but he said he’s gonna put every focus he has on the last two games or the last games of the league and also to focus on the final, that’s where his mind is at but God decides or takes the final decision. But his mind and everything is towards Sundowns,” the Brazilian attacker concluded.
