Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have basically being asked to look at a striker. The message is from Stade Reims‘ Zimbabwean star Marshall Munetsi.

Zimbabwean Premier League club Simba Bora have a striker named Walter Musona. According to Munesti, the former Polokwane City star has the quality to play for the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I think he is one of the players who, for me, obviously left Polokwane City, but I still think he has the right quality to play for Pirates, Chiefs, and Sundowns,” Munetsi told iDiski Times about Knowledge Musona’s 28-year-old younger brother.

“The suspension derailed things, but hopefully, things can change because we had a good relationship with the PSL in South Africa and the Zimbabwe Premier League,” Munetsi added.

Kaizer Chiefs are fresh from delivering the club’s worst ever season. With the new season starting in August, Amakhosi are yet to make any aggressive statements of intent. For now, the ever-outspoken Pitso Mosimane has suggested a message to the bosses at Naturena.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly boss is back home after leaving Saudi Arabia’s Ahba Club. Appearing on Sports Amplified with Andile on Tuesday, Mosimane was asked to share his take on why Kaizer Chiefs continue to trail behind Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

“You can’t win games when you don’t have good players, ” Mosimane said. “How Manchester City turn around things. [Is it] because Pep Guardiola is a magician? He’s got [Erling] Halaand. He’s got all the top players. So, you’ve go to have the player and also with me at Sundowns, we had the players and look what has happened. They’ve kept buying the good players, hence Rulani [Mokwena] is on top of his game and they’re still winning.

“Why is [Orlando] Pirates good? You’ve got to buy the players. In football, if you don’t have [good] players, you can’t win. I don’t care which coach you have. It’s a combination of everything,” Mosimane concluded.

In the meantime, Kaizer Chiefs are thought to be very close to announcing Nasreddine Nabi as Amakhosi’s next coach. Pitso Mosimane has meanwhile sent a comment on the reports linking him to the club.

Following the end of his term in Saudi Arabia with Abha Club, Mosimane has been back home in South Africa. Though Kaizer Chiefs are set to appoint Nabi, Mosimane remains an outside candidate until Amakhosi officially announce Nabi.

Speaking to the media this past weekend, Mosimane simply said it is not fair to put Amakhosi under pressure to appoint him.

“It is a big club, it is a big institution,” Mosimane told SABC Sport. “Everywhere I go, everybody would ask me. But, I’m a professional. I will not use that to put Kaizer Chiefs under pressure over these things. It is not fair, because we don’t know what is happening. What are they thinking and what is their vision? – READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
