He said in the Sowetan: “I don’t know if he (Hlongwane) deserves a special dealing.

“The progress he has made in particular, he produced in particular in the last number of months is being part of the team, Maritzburg United. He is deserving of a call-up, playing under the first XI in such an important game.

“I think the task is not about dealing with him, we worked on it and he worked on it, being part of the team that’s the result.

“At the moment I don’t have any ambition to deal in particular with him, he is part of our team he is back in our training sessions.

“I think we hear that some players are not in the shape currently and I think he is in a very good shape.”
