Speaking after his team’s 2-1 win over the Dube Birds last week, Barker said he just had to make a special mention of his midfield cog Mthethwa.
“Firstly I just want to comment Sibongiseni Mthethwa – fantastic footballer,” Barker told SABC Sport.

“Week in, week out he puts in performances like this and I just hope the powers that be, the national team selectors, are taking notice.
“For me, he is probably the best no.6 in the country right now so congratulations for him on that effort.”
In case you don’t know much about the 27-year-old, Mthethwa began his PSL career at Royal Eagles in 2019, followed by two seasons with Black Leopards before Stellenbosch snatched him following Leopard’s relegation from the DStv Premiership.
The ‘Ox’ has started and finished each and every game of Stellies’ eight matches this season.
