What more can we ask for from the DStv Premiership clubs who brought us thrilling action in the return of domestic football this past weekend?

HOW DID THE BIG THREE START?

Title holders Mamelodi Sundowns started their defence by a 2-0 victory against Cape Town City while Arthur Zwane’s Kaizer Chiefs were downed 1-0 by Royal AM.

Orlando Pirates began on a high with their new coach Jose Riveiro inspiring his side to a 1-0 Soweto derby win against Swallows.

Kaizer Chiefs will surely be looking to prove that they’re refreshed under new leadership of Zwane when they face Maritzburg United on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, facing Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday will perhaps be the first big test for Orlando Pirates under Riveiro who has to prove himself to the Buccaneers. Many have said it before that he’s an “unknown”.

TS Galaxy will on Wednesday take on the last season’s treble winners Mamelodi Sundowns who look like they didn’t take a holiday and are almost impossible to match.
