In an interview with Kickoff, Gaoshubelwe confirmed that an agreement had been reached with affected players and Royal AM management.

“On Thursday we had a follow-up meeting and there were a number of outstanding requirements that were met,” Gaoshubelwe said.

“We then agreed that we would probably continue monitoring the situation, and will see what has been done and what has not.

“But I can confirm that there are players who have received salaries, those who were short paid, the outstanding balance has been paid.

“We are still checking who else hasn’t been paid because we can only know once they tell us. There are those who have agreed to settlements, who have agreed to leave, and they are also getting their August salaries.

“With regards to the issue of accommodation, they would have agreed in terms of the approach, because the team would assist them to look for accommodation, those who do not necessarily want to stay within the compound,” Gaoshubelwe added.
