Mamelodi Sundowns beat Orlando Pirates 2-0 in the DStv Premiership clash at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday thanks to a brace by Peter Shalulile.

Shalulile scored both goals in the second half in the 54th and 72nd minutes.

The result meant Mamelodi Sundowns remained unbeaten with four wins from five matches and sit on top of the table with 13 points.

It was Orlando Pirates’ first loss of the league season and they slipped to fifth place with eight points.

The Buccaneers will next be in action on Saturday, 2 October when they travel to the Mother City to face Cape Town City FC at 17:30.

Mamelodi Sundowns, meanwhile, face a home MTN8 semi-final second leg clash against Golden Arrows on Tuesday, 28 September at 18:00.

The first-leg ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
