Did Thamsanqa Gabuza really blow a kiss to MaMkhize? He finally responds! 

SuperSport United striker Thamsanqa Gabuza was believed to have blown a kiss in the direction of Royal AM owner Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize.

SuperSport United striker Thamsanqa Gabuza was believed to have blown a kiss in the direction of Royal AM owner Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize.

This incident is believed to have occurred during SuperSports 3-1 win over Royal AM in which Gabuza found the back of the net in. 

Gabuza scored the first goal

Gabuza scored the first of those goals for SuperSport, after which, he raced across to the stands where he appeared to aim a kiss to MaMkhize, who was believed to have even been left blushing by the action.

Speaking at Wednesday morning’s SuperSport open media day, the evergreen character which is Gabuza was asked if he did, indeed blow the kiss to MaMkhize as part of his goal scoring celebrations. According to iDiski Times, the lanky forward laughed off the rumours. 

Did he blow a kiss at MaMkhize?

“It’s just a celebration, nothing much, Just a celebration for the fans, you see I was blowing kisses for the fans.” Gabuza said. 

He was then pressed again for an answer, but Gabuza again maintained his stance of the kiss being for the SuperSport fans. 

“No, no, it’s for the fans, it’s for SuperSport,” Gabuza concluded.

SuperSport in great form

SuperSport have been in flying form so far this season under the tutelage of veteran coach Gavin Hunt. A Matsatsantsa find themselves in third position in the current DStv Premiership standings. They have managed to rake up a decent 20 points in their first 11 league games, which sees them five points behind their crosstown rivals Mamelodi Sundowns. The 35-year-old Gabuza has managed just the two goals so far this season, where he has found himself in a fierce competition with the club’s main striker Bradley Grobler

Earlier, The South African News had also reported the presence of another Bradley at SuperSport, in former youth international Bradley Cross. The 21-year-old is believed to be training to keep fit as it stands.
