Chippa United promise to bring the fight to Golden Arrows

Relegation-threatened Chippa United are ready to bring the fight to high-flying Golden Arrows on Sunday Afternoon according to defender Nyiko Mobbie.

Chippa United head into the fixture occupying the dreaded relegation playoff spot having won just three times in 23 PSL outings, however the Chilli Boys are renowned for their enterprise and fight.

Chilli Boys won’t go down without a fight

Mobbie said the Eastern Cape-based side would look to put their defeat to Baroka FC last time out behind them and won’t be intimidated by Golden Arrows impressive record this term.

“It’s difficult after we lost the game against Baroka but there’s nothing we can do. 

“We’re looking forward to the next game, it’s not going to be easy to play Arrows but we’re going to fight again. 

“We are not in a good position on the log, so we are looking forward to giving everything that can help the team as players,” said Mobbie.

Chippa United remain a tricky prospect for any team to face off against despite the club being considered a graveyard for coaches with the owners seemingly pathologically incapable of keeping a head coach employed for a full season.

The running joke is when you take the Chippa United head coach job, don’t bother buying furniture.

Chippa United announced the return of former head coach Vladislav Heric as a technical adviser after their move to appoint controversial Belgian coach Luc Eymael blew up in their faces.

Reserve team coach Mbuyiselo Sambu has been recalled to first team assistant duties having previously served as 2ic to Dan Malesela, Teboho Moloi, Heric, Clinton Larsen, Norman Mapeza, Rhulani Mokwena and Lehlohonolo Seema.

Golden Arrows head to Gqeberha looking to extend their unbeaten run in the DStv Premiership to eight matches.
