Chippa United FINALLY make a decision on Gavin Hunt’s future!

Chippa United have reportedly served Gavin Hunt with a letter to terminate his contract after being silent for weeks over the coach’s future.

Hunt was suspended by Chippa United a month ago following a string of poor results since his appointment at the start of the season.

And his future has been the subject of speculation since then with a number of clubs, including Swallows and Orlando Pirates linked with his services.

Now, according to Sunday World, Hunt and Chippa Mpengesi have finally agreed on a settlement fee after weeks of back and forth discussions.

GAVIN BEGINS HUNT FOR A NEW JOB

Hunt can now begin his search for a new club with a Chippa United official known to Sunday World confirming that all that’s left is for Mpengesi to also sign the termination letter.

He has not signed it, he is just waiting to put pen to paper to officially release him from the club.

We expect him to sign the settlement today (Sunday) or tomorrow (Monday) after which the two will jointly issue a statement announcing the termination of the contract.

As things stand, Kurt Lentjies is in charge of Chippa United on an interim basis but the club is expected to appoint a new head coach as soon as they have officially released Hunt.
