Chippa United cut ties with Mamelodi Sundowns flop

Chippa United have reportedly cut ties with former Mamelodi Sundowns and Black Leopards attacker Mogakolodi Ngele.

Chippa United have reportedly cut ties with former Mamelodi Sundowns and Black Leopards attacker Mogakolodi Ngele.

This is according to Unplayable, who reported on Saturday that Ngele was no longer at Chippa United after the two parties decided to go separate ways.

Ngele joined Chippa United at the start of the 2021-22 season following a stint with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) who later became Marumo Gallants.

The 31-year-old left-footer hasn’t been able to settle at any of the clubs he has played for since leaving Platinum Stars for Sundowns in 2014.

Not even at Sundowns did Ngele make a grade as he was loaned out to several teams, including SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits among others.

Upon the expiry of his contract with Sundowns in 2018, Ngele joined Black Leopards but he left them just after a season.

The Botswana international had hoped to stay longer at Chippa United but with Kurt Lentjies in charge, the technical team didn’t believe he could add value to the team next season.

Ngele leaves Chippa United with 15 appearances to his name, a single goal and a single assist after just one season with them.
