Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi will NOT keep Lehlohonolo Seema as coach of Chippa United for the upcoming season despite helping them survive relegation.

Seema rejoined Chippa United with four games to go before the end of the season but he’s now unemployed as Mpengesi has other plans.
The former Orlando Pirates and Lesotho skipper said he had discussions with Mpengesi but nothing came out of them as he was told he will no longer be needed.

In his four games in charge, Seema won one, lost two and drew one, and that draw against Golden Arrows was enough for Chippa United to retain their DStv Premiership status.

āItās done, it was a call for four games, he told me he wonāt continue with me, he has another plan, so yeah, Iām jobless as we speak,ā Seema confirmed to iDiski Times.
āHopefully the next team can provide an opportunity for a whole season and I can push myself again, but definitely not continuing with Chippa, spoke to the Chairman and he indicated he wonāt be continuing with me for next season.ā
Seema was Chippa United’s fifth coaching change for the 2022-23 season, as he took over from Siyabulela Gwambi.

Chippa started the campaign with Daine Klate who would later be replaced by Kurt Lentjies but then came Morgan Mammila before Gwambi.
It remains to be seen who the new coach for the new season will be but local reports suggest Mammila could soon make a sensational return to Gqeberha.
