Kaizer Chiefs are home away from home as they tackle Black Leopards at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.
Amakhosi take their travelling roadshow to Durban after surviving a scare on the opening weekend against Highlands Park.
Lebogang Manyama scored either side of Rodney Ramagalela and Peter Shalulile goals that had threatened an upset to kick off the new campaign.
But Eric Matohoâs 83rd-minute winner ensured a satisfying start for Ernst Middendorp and his men.
The veteran boss was quick to get the fans on side with three points in the bag.
He said: âEven when we were a goal down, you could feel the positive energy flowing from the stands.
âIt was fantastic to see the atmosphere, the kind of support and positive energy. The supporters deserve to know that we really appreciate their role in the team.â
Black Leopards couldnât manage a comeback of their own on Sunday, with Limpopo rivals Polokwane City winning by Sbusiso Mbonaniâs only goal at the Tohoyandou Stadium.
Nine points separated the sides in the PSL last season, with Lidoda Duvha finishing just three points and two places above the relegation zone.
Chiefs fans wonât need to be reminded of a dismal campaign that saw them finish ninth in the wastelands of midtable.
Willard Katsande was the man on target in the corresponding fixture last season, sneaking a 1-0 win at the FNB Stadium.
And Middendorp knows there are areas for improvement following the Highlands Park clash if the Glamour Boys are to repeat the feat this time around.
Ahead of the trip to KwaZulu Natal, the German added: ââWe had some moments of jitters at the back but recovered and became solid with the progress of the game. We will work on that.â

Prediction: Chiefs have a dubious home record against Black Leopards, perhaps that’s why the “home game” was moved to Durban. Chiefs to win, 2-1.
