Earlier this year, it was reported that any potential suitors would have splash the cash to the tune of R12m in order to sign sought-after Stellenbosch target Junior Mendieta, who had been linked to both Chiefs and Pirates at different times.

According to one recent report in Soccer Laduma, Mendieta – who has a long-term contract with Stellenbosch – in fact has a buy-out clause, which is likely to be north of R10m.

That would be a figure which may dissuade many clubs, but according to SABC Sport, Mamelodi Sundowns are willing to open transfer targets, with Mendieta seen as a priority target.

The report suggests the club view the 30-year-old as an ideal replacement for outgoing Haashim Domingo, and that they may consider a cash plus player deal to make the move happen.

Ngoma made an impact throughout this past season, but he has now parted ways with Al Hilal amidst the instability in Sudan.

“I can confirm we leaving Al Hilal. The club has been great and all the management no even one bad words,” his representative Faustino Mukandila of BSM Foot confirmed to iDiski Times.

“Unfortunately, the war is making it impossible for Fabrice to continue in such conditions. We want to thank the Sudanese people for their hospitality and wish them a better future.”
