Chiefs to pounce on ‘free agent’ Ngoma – report

Kaizer Chiefs will certainly be looking to make some clever recruitments ahead of next season, and DR Congo international midfielder Fabrice Ngoma is a player who has been linked with the club.

Ngoma made an impact throughout this past season, but he has now parted ways with Al Hilal amidst the instability in Sudan.

“I can confirm we leaving Al Hilal. The club has been great and all the management no even one bad words,” his representative Faustino Mukandila of BSM Foot confirmed to iDiski Times.

“Unfortunately, the war is making it impossible for Fabrice to continue in such conditions. We want to thank the Sudanese people for their hospitality and wish them a better future.”

Could Chiefs pounce?

This news comes as Soccer Laduma reports that Chiefs are set to renew interest in Ngoma, which could certainly gain traction now that he’s a free agent.

The 29-year-old has been linked to Amakhosi in the past, but the timing could now prove to be just right.

“They (Chiefs) feel that they need an experienced midfielder to help the youngsters,” a source commented. “And since Cole Alexander will be leaving the team and Siyethemba Sithebe has not been reliable … so they have renewed interest in Ngoma.”
