Off-form Chelsea travel to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening hoping to get one over their rivals Arsenal.

The Blues are having their worst season in over two decades so far and could end up in the relegation zone with few games remaining.

Chelsea are winless in their last eight matches in all competitions and it could extend to nine should they fail to beat the Gunners.

Blues striker Kai Havertz says the squad is motivated to not only get back to winning ways themselves in the Premier League, but also to extend Arsenal’s current winless run to five matches.

“It is a historic derby and I think Chelsea against Arsenal has always been a good game,” Havertz was quoted on Chelsea website.

“Normally, Chelsea are also competing for titles at this stage of the season, obviously this year that has not been possible.”

The London Derby could decide the League

Arsenal have won four of their last five Premier League games against Chelsea but the Blues’ last win was a 2-0 victory at the Emirates last season.

They only once won consecutive visits to Arsenal, doing so in May and November 2009.

A win or draw for Chelsea could see give Manchester City a huge advantage going into the final games of the season.

“Of course, we will try and stop Arsenal having a good time, and prevent them finishing strongly. We are going to try our best tonight to get the points.”

Chelsea comes into the match having suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford while Arsenal were hammered 4-1 by Manchester Cuty in their last match.
