Carling Black Label Cup: Romain Folz reacts to AmaZulu starting XI

AmaZulu coach Romain Folz has reacted to the Usuthu starting line-up that was voted for by fans for the Carling Black Label Cup competition.

AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz has reacted to the Usuthu starting line-up that was voted for by the fans ahead of the Carling Black Label Cup competition.

The KwaZulu-Natal side made the cut for the four teams which will compete in the one-day tournament on Saturday, 12 November at the FNB Stadium.

They square off with Mamelodi Sundowns in the first semi-final (09:30) before Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates lock horns in the second semi-final (12:00).

‘Fohloza’ was speaking after seeing the final starting line-up, but before it was officially announced.

He complimented the fans for choosing the team that is close to what he would have also selected.

FOLZ ON AMAZULU CARLING BLACK LABEL STARTING XI

“Yes, I’ve had a look at the [voted starting line up], ja I’m happy with that,” Folz told the journalists in the Carling Black Label Cup press conference on Monday.

“But I’ll be honest with you saying that whatever the fans have chosen, I’ll find a way tactically to make things work, I’ll do with what is chosen by the fans.

“Honestly the selection I’ve seen, to me it makes sense, it’s very close to what we’ve been doing since I arrived.

“There’s a feeling that the fans are actually paying attention to what we are doing tactically and they can see what we are doing and they are trying to match that.

“It also means that they are somehow happy with what we’re doing tactically with the way they have chosen different players in different departments of the game.

“So, I’m happy with that and as I say, regardless of the selection, we’ll make sure that things work for us.”
