Mayo extends his deal with Cape Town City

24-year-old Khanyisa Mayo, who will be 25 in August, bagged 12 goals in the league this season to jointly win the Golden Boot award alongside Peter Shalulile. His red-hot form has alerted both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs. He’s just extended his contract with the Mother City outfit until June 2028.

Is Cape Town City to Kaizer Chiefs actually a good career move?

This begs the question though, is moving from Cape Town City to Kazer Chiefs even a career upgrade this point? Considering, of course, that City finished above Amakhosi in the league and they can offer players that coastal life. Do you think Mayo’s actually best served staying with the Citizens for a couple more years? Will Mduduzi Mdantsane regret trading Cape Town for Naturena?
