Cape Town City say NO to Kaizer Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns

Cape Town City chairman John Comitis has ruled out possibilities of any of his two star players leaving for South Africa’s ‘Big Three’.

Khanyisa Mayo and Thabo Nodada continue to be linked with moves away from The Citizens with Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs all reported to be interested.

Mayo is wanted by Sundowns ahead of the resumption of their CAF Champions League campaign while both Chiefs and Pirates could tussle for Nodada.

However, Comitis has confirmed that he doesn’t intend to sell any of these players in the near future as Cape Town City want to increase their chances of finishing as high as possible on the PSL log.

According to Comitis, a top five finish at the end of the season in May, and they want both Mayo and Nodada to help them achieve that.

“We want to cement our position on the log and increase our chances of ending at least within the top five bracket,” Comitis told ThisIsFootballAfrica.
