Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana reacts to scoring brace against SuperSport United

Kaizer Chiefs‘ new striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana feels he could have done better than just scoring a brace against SuperSport United on Saturday night at the FNB Stadium.

It may be still early too say if the lanky Burundian forward will be a solution to Amakhosi’s problems in front of goal, but surely he has given them some spark of hope.

Reflecting on his performance after the game, Bimenyimana said when he is at his best he can do more than what he did against the Pretoria-based side.

“Yah today I scored two goals but I think I could score more but that is football,” Bimenyimana told SuperSport TV.

“I was trying every time to score, I only scored two and I still have a lot to improve [on] because in this game I see that I was not my self.

“I think I can be more better than this, that is how I feel because I know myself I can give more, more than what I give today but I’m happy for the two goals and the win for the Chiefs family.”

Having come off the bench twice against Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu in Chiefs’ last two matches, Bimenyimana was handed his first start by coach Arthur Zwane.

“The coach believe[s] in me, he said go there [do] like what we did in training and you gonna score and it happened, I’m glad,” Bimanyimana added.

“I’m happy for myself, for my teammates and the staff.”
