Mbule has is currently suspended by SuperSport United and due to disciplinary issues, in what has been a troubled season for him.

Mbule initially went awol

It was first reported earlier this month that Mbule had gone AWOL from SuperSport training, a rumour that was soon confirmed by the club’s CEO Stan Matthews. Matthews would then go on to say that the club had taken such action against the player as they felt he had ‘disrespected his teammates’.  It had not been the first time that Matthews has had to mention the playmaker’s name alongside behaviour issues, as he did saw at the end of the January transfer window, after he was linked with Chiefs.

After former midfield partner Teboho Mokoena had left SuperSport for Mamelodi Sundowns, there were rumours that started to circulate on a possible move to Chiefs being at an advanced stage for Mbule. Matthews then poured called water on those rumours with a radio interview, saying one could not compare the situations of Mbule and Mokoena. The CEO then explained that while Mokoena had been a model professional and had earned his move, not the same could be said about Mbule, who had not been taking care of his body during the course of the season.

Makaab reveals latest

As per iDiskiTimes who quoted Mbule’s agent Makaab from Gagasi FM, there has been a positive progress with regards to the player’s current situation.

I’m spending a few days there because we’ve got some very important meetings, I’ve set up a meeting with stan Matthews regarding the future of Sipho Mbule. I’m not 100% sure where we start but one thing I can tell you about those who are concerned about Sipho; we have him in a special program – both with a sports psychologist and with a physical trainer. There’s no doubt in my mind that come pre-season, Sipho will be ready to fight for a place in his new team. He’s certainly not going to be sitting in the stands for two years.” Said Makaab.
