Bongani Zungu LEAVES Amiens, becomes a free agent!

A major update on the future of Bafana Bafana star Bongani Zungu has been provided regarding his future in France!

Bongani Zungu’s five year spell at French side Amiens has seemingly come to an end.

Reports from France suggest the 29-year-old midfielder has left the Ligue 2 side.

Zungu, who has been linked with a move to both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, is set to become a free agent at the end of the month.

The Bafana Bafana star made 75 appearances for Amiens. Bongani Zungu scored twice and assisted once for the club.

While his next destination remains unconfirmed, South African clubs will be desperate to land him. More so, for FREE!

Sundowns will always be my home – Zungu

“I met the Sundowns president (Patrice) Motsepe in Paris the other year.” Bongani Zungu told Sports Night Amplified

“He told me Sundowns will always be home. So, Sundowns will always be my home.

“No matter what happens from now until when I make my decision about where I’m going to be (playing come the 2022/2023 season).

“Sundowns is the only team that spoke to my agent and they are speaking to my agent still. Others are trying to.”
