Bongani Zungu allowed to sign a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs!

Bongani Zungu is officially allowed to sign a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs this January transfer window.

Bongani Zungu is officially allowed to sign a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs this January transfer window.

Zungu is able to sign a pre-contract with any club he chooses, according to iDiskiTimes.

He has been strongly linked to Chiefs for month now. Amakhosi would love to bring the former Bafana Bafana midfielder to Naturena. However, Amiens head coach Philippe Hinschberger is very pleased with Zungu’s return and is unlikely to let go of him to easily.

“We have a plethora of choices in the midfield,” he said. “We played a lot with Gnahoré, Benet and Lusamba, it went pretty well.

“We have good news for me which is the return to form of Bongani Zungu because he has a passing quality and a technical quality that’s interesting [to us],” stated Hinschberger.

Zungu has just returned to the starting lineup, completing his first 90 minute of league football since June 2020.

Although it was in a losing effort, with his side losing 1-0 to Ajaccio, the former Bafana midfielder impressed his coach. The most important factor i that he completed his return to full fitness and is officially back in action.

His side are now in the relegation zone which could tempt Zungu to sign for Chiefs.

Amakhosi are yet to make an official offer but this could change soon.
