Black Leopards vs Polokwane City: Prediction, scores, kick-off time and head-to-head

A win over Cape Town City FC on the final day of the season helped Black Leopards avoid relegation last time out. There have been a few changes since then, with  French tactician Lionel Soccoia replacing Dyan Kerr in the coaching hot seat.

Leopards midfielder Karabo Tshepe has enjoyed working with the former CF Mounana and African Lyon head coach in pre-season.

“We are taking it as a learning curve dealing with a Frenchman,” Tshepe said.

“We need to listen to him and understand his instructions very early before the season starts.”

In contract, Polokwane had their most successful Premiership campaign last season, finishing in fifth spot – ahead of Kaizer Chiefs.

Rise and Shine have also had a coaching change, appointing Serbian Zlatko Krmpotic as their new head coach after the departure of Slovakian Jozef Vukušic.

Polokwane captain and midfielder Jabulani Malukeke, who is set to turn 38 in March 2020, is keen to win a major cup with the team in the new season.

“I would love to win a cup with my current team as I’m enjoying my stay here,” Maluleke said.

“I don’t know how many years I’ve left but as long my legs allow me to carry on, I won’t be stopping anytime soon.”
