McCarthy coached AmaZulu to their first-ever win in the CAF Champions League, according to iDiskiTimes.
Ultimately, securing their maiden goal and victory in the competition. Usuthu secured a 1-0 victory over Horoya. Luvuyo Memela first-half goal was enough for McCarthy and Usuthu to make history and put SA on the map.

Now, there is another SA team that will go down as participants and victors in the competition.
Joining the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns amongst SA’s elite teams that have featured in the CAFCL. McCarthy is aiming to emulate Amakhosi’s run.
