Benni McCarthy to intercept Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates bid for Bongani Zungu?
Benni McCarthy has publicly admitted to recieving a phone call in which he discussed Bongani Zungu – will he beat Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to the former Bafana Bafana stars signature?

Benni McCarthy has publicly admitted to recieving a phone call in which he discussed Bongani Zungu – will he beat Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to the former Bafana Bafana stars signature?

Zungu has been a hot topic of discussion amongst the Soweto giants.
Both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates would greatly benefit from signing the Bafana veteran. He brings experience, class and leadership – on and off the pitch. Now, Benni McCarthy has probably spotted these exact skills in Zungu – drawing in his interest in the midfielder.

McCarthy accidentally mentioned to reporters that he had discussed Zungu on the call.
This is when he was asked about his contact with Bongani Sam, a young talent that has recently caught his eye.

“We respect it that and that was the thing, but I thought it was Bongani Sam, but in fact, it was about Bongani Zungu,” McCarthy told iDiskiTimes.
If McCarthy is discussing Zungu it means there is possible interest from the Usuthu coach.
Who could blame him? Zungu has experience playing in France for Amiens and is a PSL and Bafana Bafana veteran.

Zungu has already attracted massive interest from Amakhosi and Pirates.
