Benni McCarthy in hot water with PSL!

Benni McCarthy has landed himself in trouble with the PSL after his outburst during AmaZulu’s goalless draw with SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership last month.

McCarthy will face the Disciplinary Committee after his exchange of words with Kaitano Tembo was caught on camera.

The Usuthu coach has been summoned by the PSL to appear before the committee where a decision will be made on the former Bafana Bafana star this week. This is not the first time he has expressed frustration this season.

This past weekend AmaZulu conceded a controversial last minute penalty against Kaizer Chiefs.

A decision that cost the eThekwini-based side a crucial 2 points and saved Amakhosi from defeat.

McCarthy will get some breathing space from all the drama as international football resumes. Bafana Bafana will play Ethiopia in a double-header during their 2022 Soccer World Cup Qualifiers.

This gives Usuthu’s coach some time to plan ahead of AmaZulu’s CAF Champions League encounter with TP Mazembe on 15 October.
