Benni McCarthy and Orlando Pirates set to make history

Benni McCarthy will lead out AmaZulu in the second stage of the CAF Champions League for their maiden appearance at this stage while Orlando Pirates face Diables Noirs for the first time ever!

McCarthy is on the brink of making history with Usuthu – yet again!

AmaZulu will be taking part in the second stage of the CAF Champions League after defeating Nyasa Big Bullets 3-2 on aggregate. Usuthu have their work cut out for them with a massive match against TP Mazembe.

They go into the match as massive underdogs despite hosting the first leg in Durban on Friday.

Orlando Pirates travel to Congo to take on Diables Noirs on Friday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 16:30.

This will be the first encounter between these two sides. The Buccaneers will be playing their opening match in the competition while Noirs had to qualify to play them.

The game will be played over two legs with the return fixture set for 24 October at the Orlando Stadium.
