Sibisi has been a stalwart in the Arrows defence and has now been given a hint that it’s time to spread his wings to either Pirates, Chiefs or Sundowns.

Sibisi key for Arrows

Sibisi has found himself as a key cog in the defence of Arrows, which then, perhaps makes it no surprise that he captains the Durban-based side. So impressive have his performances been for the Abafana bes’thende, that he has caught the eye of the Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos. Broos has called him up to at least two of his squads, his very first as well as his latest.

Having garnered a reputation for being tough as nails, Sibisi did very little to dispel that rumour when he emerged victorious from the wars against Kaizer Chiefs forwards last weekend. The centre-back was in the thick of things, in Arrows 1-0 DStv Premiership win over Amakhosi, which depicted by him being bandaged on both wrists and forehead.

Advised to joined either Chiefs, Pirates or Sundowns

Sibisi was then rewarded by Broos, by being given a start in Bafana Bafana’s very against Guinea on Friday, where he helped keep a clean sheet before being substituted at half-time. Now former Sundowns player Sandile Ndlovu has advised that he joins either his former side, Chiefs or Pirates in the close season.

“Sibisi has been with Arrows for some time and it is high time for him to compete for bigger things, He is a top player that can give you goals as well, he needs new challenges and can stand any pressure, he can fit any team in those big three clubs. t’s time for him to go there and show the country because with Arrows it will be hard to do so, since they don’t qualify for CAF competitions, this must be his last season in KwaZulu-Natal.” Said Ndlovu to Soccer-Laduma

Chiefs have already invested in the likes of Njabulo Ngcobo and Austin Dube in centre back reinforcements at the start of the season, while already having the likes of Eric Mathoho, Daniel Cardoso, Siyabonga Ngezana and Ramahlwe Mphahlele in their ranks. It is not expected that they would prioritise a centre back signing unless they lose at least two of the above mentioned. Pirates on the other hand also invested in Olisa Ndah and Kwanda Mngonyama, while Sundowns added Mandela Onyango and Grant Kekana, while losing Riccardo Nascimento mid-season.

Best options?

It then seems like Sibisi’s best option would be either Pirates, who are thought to be actively looking for a centre back, or Sundowns who are said to already be leading the race for his signature. Where will he be playing his football next season?
