Chiefs and Pirates have managed a total of four call-ups to the national side.

Therefore, two players from each side made it into Broos’ 23-man Bafana Bafana squad.

Amakhosi have two representatives in Njabulo Blom and Kgaogelo Sekgota.

Both men thoroughly deserve their chance to shine in the national side after their blistering form in the DStv Premiership. Blom has been brilliant since returning to Arthur Zwane’s starting line-up.

Furthermore, he is the full package – as good defensively as he is on attack. He was one of the stand-out performers in Amakhosi’s Soweto derby win over Pirates and he is an asset to Amakhosi.

Therefore, they will not want to lose him amidst his current contract saga. Sekgota on the other hand has been one of Zwane and Amakhosi’s most lively players and biggest threats on attack. His confidence on the ball and willingness to take on defenders out wide has earned him a deserved call-up into Broos’ side.
