Another former Kaizer Chiefs man linked with AmaZulu move!

AmaZulu are reported to be on the verge of signing another former Kaizer Chiefs man before the start of the PSL season this weekend.

AmaZulu are reported to be on the verge of signing another former Kaizer Chiefs man before the start of the PSL season this weekend.

According to a source known to Phakaaathi, Hendrick Ekstein has been in Durban to hold talks with AmaZulu over a possible deal.

Furthermore, as things stand, the source claims that Ekstein to AmaZulu is as good as done, with the diminutive midfielder expected to put pen to paper in the next few days.

“Well, the way things are looking, it’s a done deal,” said the source.

“It’s just a matter of following all protocols regarding the documents and all of that. It was lengthy negotiations, and I understand why because Ekstein wanted a good deal.

“I think he got one of the best deals, he just has to sign on the dotted line. There is a lot of money coming out of this deal, but it’s a good thing that the club got him as a free agent,” added the source.

Should Ekstein indeed join AmaZulu, he’d become a second former Chiefs player to sign for Benni McCarthy’s team this month after Philani Zulu.

Tsepo Masilela is another former Chiefs man currently on the books of AmaZulu while Siphiwe Tshabalala has been let go by the club.
