The latest reports suggest that AmaZulu are setting their eyes on Marumo Gallants’ Ndlondlo and are looking to blindside both Chiefs and Pirates to his signature.

Large interest in Ndlondlo

Both Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns were thought to be going head to head in an effort to prize Ndlondlo away from Gallants during the previous window. This interest came after the player played a sterling role in the club’s run to win the Nedbank Cup while still under their previous banner of TTM. The name may have changed, but not Ndlondlo’s form, as he has continued to grow in leaps and bounds since.

It is then unclear when Chiefs joined the interest train for Ndlondlo, as they were previously linked extensively with midfield duo Sipho Mbule and Teboho Mokoena during the previous transfer window. However, the latest reports do credit the Glamour Boy’s for with having an interest in the player. Amakhosi have subsequently lost out to Sundowns for the services of Mokoena and are reportedly poised to miss out on his former midfield partner Mbule to the Brazilians too, if the latest reports are to be believed.

Chiefs seem to have new midfield target

Most recently, however, Chiefs have been linked heavily with Sekhukhune United midfielder Yusuf Maart, as their preferred midfield target for next season. On the other side of Soweto, all the noise has been surrounding attackers and not many midfielders, making it hard to tell whether or not they are still in for Ndlondlo. But either way, AmaZulu are not waiting on the two Soweto giants to make their minds up over the player, as according to Soccer-Laduma, they are looking to ramp up their interest in the player.

AmaZulu looking to steal a march?

“Interest is mounting on Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and clubs are just waiting for the final of the Nedbank Cup and offers will be made to Marumo Gallants after about the player’s services. AmaZulu are keen on the player, as well as Chiefs and Pirates and the competition is tough,” said a source to the publication.

Gallants may be forced to sell Ndlondlo this coming transfer window, as the player only has one more year left on his contract at the club. Will that alert all of AmaZulu, Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns?
