AmaZulu latest: Did Sandile Zungu rush to tie down Romain Folz?

AmaZulu’s dream of finishing inside the top four at the end of the current season suffered a serious dent on Saturday night when they lost 2-1 to TS Galaxy.

AmaZulu‘s dream of finishing inside the top four at the end of the current season suffered a serious dent on Saturday night when they lost 2-1 to TS Galaxy.

Junior Traore netted a brace for TS Galaxy while Junior Dion scored a consolation goal for AmaZulu who walked away empty handed yet again.

Now, the result left AmaZulu in 10th position on the log with 24 points after 20 games and this isn’t a very record.

The loss comes a day after Romain Folz was handed a new three-year deal by AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu who pledged his support for the 32-year-old mentor.

Folz’s current deal expires in June, and perhaps AmaZulu should have waited until then to see whether or not they still wanted to keep the coach.

AMAZULU’S RECORD UNDER ROMAIN FOLZ

Folz has been in charge of l4 competitive games for AmaZulu, and his record, in all honesty, isn’t impressive at all.

Under Folz’s watch, AmaZulu won just three of those 14 games, drew eight and lost three – and that alone should have raised eyebrows to the manangement.
