Al Ahly had been in such terrific league form that victory over 11th-placed Wadi Degla seemed, on paper at least, to be a mere formality.

MOSIMANE AND AL AHLY FANS LEFT FRUSTRATED

Alas, it wasn’t to be and Mosimane and the Al Ahly fans were left frustrated after 90 minutes having failed to break the deadlock.

Al Ahly had won their first three matches of the Egyptian Premier League in convincing fashion, scoring 10 goals and only conceding one.

But credit must go to Wadi Degla who kept the free-scoring Al Ahly attack at bay.

The draw cost Mosimane’s men top spot in the standings.

They now find themselves in second place, a point adrift of El Gouna, albeit having played one fewer match.
