Pitso Mosimane says he’s feeling “humbled” ahead of the opening match at the Club World Cup between Egypt’s Al Ahly and Qatar side Al-Duhail.

Pitso Mosimane says he’s feeling “humbled” ahead of Thursday’s opening match at the Club World Cup between Egypt’s Al Ahly and Qatar side Al-Duhail.

Kick-off is at 19:30 SA time.

Mosimane will head Al Ahly’s campaign at the event as he goes in search of yet another trophy for the already most decorated team in Africa.

Pitso Mosimane, who took over at Al Ahly in October 2020 having previously coached Mamelodi Sundowns, took to social media shortly after waking up in Qatar, writing: “Woke up feeling humbled this morning as I am about to experience the @FIFAWorldCup experience once again. Tonight @AlAhly take on @DuhailSC in the #FIFACWC”.

Pitso Mosimane will have the weight of a continent on his shoulders as his side represents Africa as the reigning CAF Champions League winners.

The winner of the match will face Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
