Pitso Mosimane: How much is the coach earning in Saudi Arabia?

South African mentor Pitso Mosimane had his first real taste of Saudi Arabian football on Wednesday when Al-Ahli Saudi visited Jeddah.

South African mentor Pitso Mosimane had his first real taste of Saudi Arabian football on Wednesday when Al-Ahli Saudi visited Jeddah.

The two sides played to a 1-1 draw, but the result would not give Mosimane sleepless nights as he only had a few training sessions with Al-Ahli.

Mosimane joined the Al-Ahli towards the end of September and thus, ending his three-month football coaching sabbatical.

However, he only travelled to Saudi Arabia this week, meaning there is still a lot of work to do for him and his technical team to get Al-Ahli players to understand his philosophy.

Now, the majority of football around the African continent have been wondering as to how much Mosinane is earning in Saudi Arabia.

HOW MUCH IS PITSO MOSIMANE EARNING IN SAUDI ARABIA?

Saudi Arabia is not big when it comes to football but the clubs over there have the financial means to bring in almost anyone they want.

And according to several media reports, Mosimane is earning around R3 million per month at Al-Ahli; a salary slightly higher than what he was reported to be getting at Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Prior to his departure from Al Ahly in June, Mosinane had reportedly agreed a bumper deal worth R2.5 million per month over two years.

Now, with the reported R3 million-per-month salary, Mosimane will be R72 million richer at the of his current contract which runs until 2024.
