Pitso Mosimane has applauded the fans who turned out to support Al Ahly in their opening Egyptian Premier League match of the season.

Following Al Ahly’s victory against Ismaily in their opening Egyptian Premier League match of the season, coach Pitso Mosimane applauded the fans who turned out to support his team.

Al Ahly kicked off their league season with a 4-0 win thanks in part to a double-strike from Percy Tau on his debut for the club.

One thousand fans were allowed to attend the match and Mosimane was grateful for their support.

“Despite your small numbers, you were the loudest, gave the team lot of motivation and energy,” Pitso Mosimane said in a tweet.

“The twelfth player always makes the difference. Thank you for your support.”
