Mosimane inspired his side to a massive derby victory over their greatest rivals.
El Khatib confirmed that his players and coaching staff will have their previous hefty fines reversed. According to SoccerLaduma’s website, these fines amount to R281 000.
They were imposed on Al Ahly after they lost the Egyptian Super Cup to Tala’ea El-Gaishback back in September.
Mosimane and Tau will also receive “exceptional bonuses” as rewards for their victory.
“El Khatib also decided to cancel the penalty issued over the team after losing the domestic Super Cup and also decided to grant the team an exceptional bonus after the historic victory,” stated an official source.
It is unclear how much these bonuses amount to as Mosimane and Tau return to South Africa for the international break.
