Cele was a relatively unknown entity in South African football circles, having spent his entire professional career plying his trade in the Portuguese Second Division for Cova da Piedade. He did, however, have a history of academy football in South Africa having turned out for the esteemed KZN Academy.

Cele was once on the books of Benfica

It was the KZN Academy that would eventually gift Cele with the opportunity to further his career in Portugual, as they facilitated his move to third division side Real Sport Clube. His 24 appearances at the club would surprisingly attract the attention and advances of topflight giants Benfica. The midfielder would then put pen to paper for the European giants.

He was then immediately sent back on loan to Real, but ultimately Cele would not make the grade at Benfica and would end up signing a permanent deal with Cova da Piedade. After becoming a mainstay in the heart of the club’s midfield, he has now left the side on a free and after catching the eye playing for South Africa’s u23 side at the Olympics, has been pictured in his potential new colours.

Confirmation he was training with Radomiak

A report from weszlow.com on Sunday seemed to confirm that Cele was indeed due to train with the Radomiak and that the 24-year old was just one of two midfield options the club were currently assessing ahead of the news season. The other is said to be a 23 year old Brazilian named Luizao who the club are believed to still be in conversation with his team over a deal.
