DStv Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs have joined the chorus of congratulations towards former Bafana Bafana international Bradley Carnell.

DStv Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs have joined the chorus of congratulations towards former Bafana Bafana international Bradley Carnell

Carnell was named as the very first ever head coach of in coming Major League Soccer (MLS) side St. Louis City. Chiefs have since recognised the feat.

Carnell very knowledgable about the game in USA

Carnell has been able to garner a substantial amount of knowledge on the America soccer scene over the years, having held prominent coaching roles for MLS giants New York Red Bulls in the past. Not too long ago, he was tasked with the interim coaching duties at the club. Before then, the former left back had been an assistant coach at the club since 2017.

Very recently, there had even been extensive rumours that Carnell was set to be roped in by new Manchester United interim-manager Ralf Rangnick to be his assistant coach at Old Trafford. However, that proved not be, but perhaps also proved to be a blessing in disguise for the 44-year-old who could use this as the perfect platform to launch his coaching career.

One of Carnell’s former clubs in Chiefs have take to their social media platforms to celebrate of their finest exports, saying:

Carnell spent just the 1997/98 season with Chiefs, with his 13 appearances for the club being enough to earn him a big move to Stuttgart in Germany where continued to enjoy a lengthy career in that country. 

He also starred for Bafana Bafana

Besides Chiefs Carnell was also known in South Africa for his exploits for Bafana Bafana , who he earned all 42 caps for. His international career span from 1997 to 2010.
