The meeting which took place between Mosele, Broos and Ncikazi was aimed at resolving issues involving the midfielder after he failed to honour his call-up to Bafana Bafana in October 2021.

Immediately afterwards, Broos suggested he wouldn’t consider Mosele for selection in the future, but in a recent about-turn, the Bafana boss included the Pirates star in the squad for friendlies against Guinea and France.

“I had a meeting with Goodman and with coach Ncikazi, and it was a good meeting,” said Broos on SABC Sport channel 124.

“So, for me, it’s case is closed, and there he is [in the squad]. He had to be there already in October but we don’t talk about it anymore.

“So, now I saw how he’s playing at Orlando Pirates and I was happy with his performances. So, it’s okay, it’s up to him.”

“But I couldn’t go on [overlook him] because there was a problem, I had to solve the problem. So, we had the problem in October, okay, and I was very angry at him… very angry because I couldn’t understand that how the player would do something like that but it’s okay.”

“Again, we talked and for me, Goodman is a player, and at the moment a good player, and what happened in the past is in the past, finish,” added Broos.

Ncikazi has now shared why the meeting involving Mosele was necessary

On Wednesday, Orlando Pirates stole a dramatic win against SuperSport United in their DStv Premiership encounter, and Ncikazi touched on the Mosele meeting after the match.

“Mosele is a good player like I said last week, there’s more to come from him, what happened to him, I understood clearly,” Ncikazi said in response to iDiski Times.

“We’re from the same backgrounds, so maybe one good thing one should give credit to was the initiative of the national team coach, he wanted to meet him and I accompanied him, we had a meeting with the coach.

“Myself, Mosele [and Broos] ironed out the issues and made him understand that some of our players go through a lot and I understood better. I’m happy the coach understood the apology and understood the situation.”

“On the playing field Mosele is a top player, I think there’s more to him, let him go and play in the national team and come back and contribute to Pirates, – but top player.”
