The 2020/2021 PSL campaign got underway this weekend with the MTN8 quarterfinals taking place over Saturday and Sunday.

SuperSport United saw off a late fightback by newcomers Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Saturday afternoon before Orlando Pirates overcame a 10-men Cape Town City side with a slender 1-0 victory.

Kaizer Chiefs produced a brilliant come-from-behind victory over Maritzburg United on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium while Bloemfontein Celtic pulled off an epic upset by sending Mamelodi Sundowns crashing out at the first hurdle.

MTN8 quarter-final highlights

SuperSport United 3 – 2 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila

Three early goals by Bradley Grobler, Iqraam Rayners and Ghampani Lungu set SuperSport United off to the perfect start in their MTN8 clash however a stunning brace by Mogakolodi Ngele resulted in a tense finish to the game. Orlando Pirates 1 – 0 Cape Town City
