Since then, Mosimane has done various interviews about his situation at Al Ahli, making no secret of his displeasure at the conditions he is being subjected to. Now, if the latest reports prove to be true, he may not have to put up with the Saudi’s any longer, with talk that the club are targeting global superstar coach Mourinho to replace the South African.

Reports from Yallakora suggest that Moaz has met with Mourinho to open talks. This would make sense as the team have been linked with a few global football superstars which they hope will lead them into a new and successful era. For that, it is only natural for them to target a coach they believe will be of the same status and be able to handle players of the same calibre.

As it stands, Mosimane still has an option to extend at the club, which became automatic after he led them to promotion. It now remains to be seen how this matter will be dealt with.
