Cristiano Ronaldo hits new FIFA low

Cristiano Ronaldo’s FIFA rating has hit its lowest level in 16 years.

The 37-year-old Portugal icon has had a couple of months to forget, now capped off by his overall rating on popular video game FIFA dropping to 88. That’s the lowest it’s been since FIFA 07, when his rating was 87.

Ronaldo had started this campaign in FIFA 23 as a 90-rated star. He scored 18 goals for Man United in the 2021-22 English Premier League season, but 2022-23 hasn’t gone so well.

A new chapter for CR7

CR7 has since joined Al-Nassr, signing the most lucrative deal in football history. A reported £160m annual salary will rise further based on incentives and other commercial factors.

“I’m feeling very good. I’m so proud to make this big decision in my life,” he said after joining.

The developer’s new franchise will be called EA Sports FC, while FIFA has said it will work with other publishers, studios and investors on future titles. This via Sky News.
