Kambole was one of the players released as part of the recent Chiefs clear-out at Naturena.

However, it hasn’t taken him long to find a new club, with Young Africans chairman of the signing committee, Hersi Ally Said, confirming the development.

“We have completed the signing of Lazarous Kambole, he’s going to be our player for the next two seasons,” Ally Said told Far Post.

“All the terms are agreed subject to a medical and him signing a contract when he comes here. We expect him to land in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday so that we can conclude everything.”

Chiefs recently parted ways with several players

Kambole and experienced trio Leonardo Castro, Kearyn Baccus and Daniel Akpeyi have followed a host of other players out the Chiefs exit door.

For quite some time it had seemed increasingly likely that Samir Nurkovic would be leaving Chiefs as well, and it was also confirmed recently that his three-year relationship with the club has come to an end.

In addition, Chiefs confirmed they have parted ways with Lebogang Manyama and Daniel Cardoso, while legendary Bernard Parker will not have his contract renewed.

Ultimately, the final list for Amakhosi saw nine players released, and 15 at AmaZulu. Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United released 14 players and Maritzburg parted ways with eight.
