Hadebe, 27, left Kaizer Chiefs for Turkish Super Liga side Yeni Malatyaspor in July 2019 and has come on in leaps and bounds since departing Naturena.

The former Chiefs defender won two MLS awards in his debut season

The Bulawayo-born star had attracted keen interest from a number of suitors and ultimately decided on a move to the MLS side in a deal worth a reported €1.5 million (R25 million).

Hadebe, capped 29 times for his national side, spent two years at Amakhosi from 2017 to 2019 after his arrival from Zimbabwean Premier League side Chicken Inn.

After heading to the USA, he went on to be named Dynamo’s 2021 Defender of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

According to the latest figures released by the MLS Salary Guide, Hadebe’s “Average Annual Guaranteed Compensation” figure is currently $1,179,177.00 (R21,5m).

Bongokuhle Hlongwane is on $580,000 (R10,5m) at Minnesota United, while Tsiki Ntsabeleng of FC Dallas is earning $65,500 (R1,18m). Check out all the figures here.

The MLS has released the following information when it comes to their Salary Guide:

The 2022 Salary Guide contains salary information for all MLS players under contract as of September 2nd, 2022. In the Guide, player salaries are broken down into two numbers:

  1. Current Annualised Base Salary
  2. Annualised Average Guaranteed Compensation

The Annual Average Guaranteed Compensation (Guaranteed Comp) number includes a player’s base salary and all signing and guaranteed bonuses annualised over the term of the player’s contract, including option years.

For example, a player earning an annual base salary of $500,000, whose contract has an initial term of two years with two one-year options and received a $100,000 signing bonus, his average annual guaranteed compensation would be $525,000 (base salary plus signing bonus ($100,000), with the signing bonus divided by the number of years covered by the contract.

The Average Annual Guaranteed Compensation figure also includes any marketing bonus and any agent’s fees, both annualised over the term of the contract. The Average Annual Guaranteed Compensation figure does not include Performance Bonuses because there is no guarantee that the player will hit those bonuses.

These figures include compensation from each player’s contract with MLS. They do not include any compensation from any contracts with individual teams or their affiliates.
